CINDY FARNY
High Camp began with Dave & Sherry Farny, founders of the Telluride Mountaineering School and Skyline Guest Ranch. They bought High Camp in 1989 to host their Skyline guests for Friday night dinners. In 2005 Cindy purchased HCH from her parents and has worked hard for 20 years to protect the area around it. She loves sharing HCH with others her motto being “if people do not enjoy being in nature, they will not help to protect it.” She hopes that everyone who visits HCH will enjoy it as much as she does.
KENT JONES
The man, the myth, a High Camp legend—Kent Jones! He’s the fix-it handyman who has been assisting Cindy with anything and everything at HCH for almost 20 years. Hailing from SW Colorado, Kent is no stranger to the country around HCH as he was formerly a hunting guide in the area. If you are lucky enough to meet him during your stay you’ll quickly realize how fortunate we are to have his expertise on call.
LAURA QUAYLE & TUCKER BRUMLEY
Laura and Tucker are the heartbeat of High Camp, they caretake the property and manage the business alongside Cindy. They are an adventurous couple with a deep rooted connection to nature. They value our public lands and are excited to help protect and preserve High Camp into the future. When they aren’t caretaking and managing High Camp you will find them outside with their dog Koa. They love to share this amazing place with our guests and youth programs. If you see them around don’t hesitate to ask questions about High Camp or their experiences and knowledge about the great outdoors!
